Andrew Michel brings depth, heart, and rock-solid groove to El Sidd & The Healers. Raised in a musical family with roots in Mexico, he grew up playing alongside his father and brother—trading riffs on guitar and accordion—before carving out his own voice on electric and stand-up bass.

A Navy veteran who served in the Gulf War, Andrew carries a quiet strength and discipline that anchors both the rhythm section and the band’s spirit. From hard rock to jazz to the swirling sounds of the late ’60s, his playing is deeply felt and always in the pocket. Based in San Diego, he’s one of the region’s most trusted and sought-after bassists.
